We're coming into the summer time trial series for 2025, with 9 events in total. For the first time this year our events are open to members from Walden Velo, Walden Tri, Army Cycling, Bishops Stortford CC, and Haverhill CC members. To keep the competition interesting we will be running a season long league.
The George Peasgood Trophy
We wanted to recognise the fantastic achievements of George in his triathlon career to date: not every club has a world champion in the local area! For the first time in 2025 we are awarding the George Peasgood trophy to the first claim Walden Velo member with the fastest time after the final event. The trophy will be awarded after the final event.
The league
Entrants will accumulate points throughout the series, with prizes at the end of the season for the rider with the most points in each event category. 1st place is worth 5 points, second is worth 3 points, and third is worth 2 points. To reward consistency, each entrant will earn 1 point per event finished. We will keep a running total of the points throughout the season and post them to the website after each event.
To encourage entrants to support running the events, anyone who marshals any event will receive 5 points towards their league total. We can't run the events without you!

For each event entries will close at 12pm (midday) on the Tuesday prior to the event. Rider briefing information will be shared on the Tuesday night along with a separate marshal briefing. If you do not receive a briefing email by 9am on Wednesday please contract secretary@waldenvelo.com.
